The Plano Multicultural Outreach Roundtable is an advisory group to the city of Plano. Its mission is to partner with the city of Plano and the diverse citizens of Plano, encouraging understanding and partnership in the government process, and fulfilling the needs and desires of its diverse citizens.
The goals of the organization are to:
- encourage and facilitate communication between the City Council and multicultural residents of Plano.
- encourage amity, understanding and collaboration among the residents of Plano.
- assist cultural/diversity groups to gain knowledge of the City of Plano government.
- create opportunities for residents to participate in a variety of multicultural activities that promote appreciation of diversity.
- provide recommendations to the City government on matters of cultural diversity and heritage of the residents of Plano.
- educate and inform.
- encourage minority group inclusion in City of Plano government.
- seek and enlist representatives of diverse cultural groups.
- embrace our differences.
